In a rush to return home early for campaigning Senate Democratic leaders facing discouraging poll numbers have decided to delay a vote on Obama’s call to preserve middle class tax cuts until after congressional elections in November fearful that a failure to extend middle-class tax cuts with further erode Democratic prospects.
